Job Description: The Section of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System is seeking a faculty member who is board certified and has an interest in wound healing to join our team as an inpatient wound consultant. The preferred candidate will have clinical duties in the areas of inpatient wound care, bedside procedures, and education of medical students, house officers and nurses in clinical and didactic settings. Opportunities exist to pursue clinical-based research and to be a part of the institutional based process improvement.

Qualified applicants should satisfy the criteria to be appointed as a faculty member with demonstrated excellence in all aspects of our tripartite mission of clinical care, teaching, and research.

Required qualifications include an M.D or D.O., board certified, hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.

University of Michigan Health System conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
